Deon and family provided an excellent experience, a true New Zealand experience. Professional but not commercial, we felt welcomed and "at home". The scenery was beautiful. If you can sign up for a little bit of fishing time - just do it!

Deon is absolutely the coolest. The tour takes you literally to his house where you gear up and hit the river in his backyard. It's awesome and a real treat to listen to a native tell you all about the river, land and stories. Excellent views. Waterfalls. Amazing experience.

Overall amazing experience, our guide Deon was very informative and knowledgeable on the surroundings and made us feel right at home. The trip itself was really cool, I recommend the grade 2 rapids or grade 3 for those who want a constant challenge.

What a perfect trip! Deon was our guide and knows this river like the back of his hand. Scenery was beautiful and rafting was a level 2 when we headed out, so more relaxing. Great sights, laughter and at the end, we were treated to great snack food!

Deon and his wife Jo are such lovely people. We had a lot of fun in the river. Deon was a great guide, telling us about the history of the river, and at the same time making sure we were having fun in the water. Will be back and will bring friends.
